UTILITIES

Electricity & Water

All units are individually metered for electricity & water consumption by DEWA. Accounts are established privately between the occupier and DEWA, and consumption billed directly to the unit occupant.

Unit Owners contribute to the cost of all water and electricity used by the common areas of the building through their service charge contributions. The occupant of each unit, whether a tenant or Owner, is fully responsible for their individual DEWA bills. Occupants will set up their own private account when moving in.

In order to activate your new account, you can do so at a DEWA branch or online by filling in the DEWA Activation of Supply Form.

In order to do this you will require a copy of your passport with Visa page, a copy of your tenancy contract and the DEWA Premise Number located on the top of your apartment door. A deposit of AED1,000 for a apartment of AED2,000 for a villa applies and can be paid by submitting your credit card number.

Activation of your account takes 24 hours.Your agent or Building Management can assist in the process for a small fee.

Air Conditioning

Palm Utilities operates and maintains a district cooling plant that services the entire Jumeirah Lakes Towers area. This same chilled water is supplied to each floor via chilled water risers that are distributed to each Unit through a Fan Coil Unit(s).

Cost of the air conditioning to common areas of the building is included in the service charges payable by each unit owner, and in accordance with the unit entitlements of that unit.

Occupiers are responsible for the payment of chilled water usage within their unit. Each occupier will have to register with Palm Utilities for the supply of air-conditioning of their unit. All charges are paid monthly and directly to Palm Utilities by occupiers and will be based on consumption tariffs as published by Palm Utilities from time to time.

In order to register for chilled water you can either:

  1. Visit Palm Utilities at their customer service center… 9:00 am to 6:45 pm Saturdays to Thursdays

  2. Download the registration form from the customer care section of the Palm Utilities website
    www.palmutilities.com. After filling in and signing, a scanned copy may be sent to registration@palmutilites.ae. Registration charges can be paid through the e-payment facility at www.palmutilities.ae. You will need to attach the proof of payment with the registration form.

You will require the following documents:

  1. Proof of ownership / tenancy (title deed, certificate or Sale & Purchase Agreement if an owner), Tenancy agreement if a tenant.
  2. Passport Copy of owner
  3. Passport Copy with Visa or Emirates ID
  4. Signed/filled out end-user registration form by the owner

Once registered you can sign up to pay your monthly bills online at epay.palmutilities.ae

Gas

There is no gas in this building. Gas bottles on balconies are prohibited.

Internet, Telephone and Cable TV

lakepointtower Etisalat is the installed provider of telecommunications to Lakepoint Tower In JLT.

To have your connectivity services installed, please contact Etisalat directly. You will require:

  • Completed application form for businesses
  • Visa and passport copy of the Owner or sponsor
  • Copy of valid Trade License and Power of Attorney

Complete the application form for businesses (available on www.etisalat.ae depending on the services you require) and submit the form, together with the applicable registration fees, at an Etisalat Business Center.
