Residents may be tempted to utilize these spots for their own additional vehicles, or long-term visitors may occupy them for extended periods, thereby denying legitimate short-term visitors access. Clear and well-enforced by-laws are crucial for managing visitor parking effectively. Strata schemes should establish clear guidelines regarding time limits, permissible usage, and enforcement procedures. 1 Proper signage is also essential to communicate these rules to both residents and visitors. When disputes arise, it is important to first attempt resolution through communication, and then if needed through the proper channels outlined in the strata by laws. In extreme or repeat cases, the owners corporation can take further action, which may include issuing notices to comply or seeking intervention from relevant tribunals.
