<p>The dilapidated wings of the stables of C.J. McCaffrey on Sydney's Pyrmont peninsula was demolished to make way for McCaffreys Tower, a 16 Storey apartment building. The red brick base accentuates its horizontal nature. Fingers of red, alternating with stripes of dark chocolate and mid beige bricks, stretch up the tower, red bricks also appear in the blades and bay windows and other façade features. </p><p> </p><p>Purchased in 1996 from the CRS by Lend Lease, the Jacksons Landing site has been transformed into a vibrant harbourside community featuring diversified residential, retail and commercial buildings and an abundance of open space. From low rise and high-rise apartments, terraces, and heritage loft conversions to commercial offices, resort style facilities and open parklands, Jacksons Landing maximises its position from both inside and out. As advised in the Chairperson's Report for December 2018 the procedure for deliveries/pickups and moving in and out has been amended. The procedures will now include a non-refundable fee and an increased refundable deposit. These measures are necessary to provide lift and floor protection and security cover during the move to minimise and pay for any damage to the building.
