This is an absolute disgrace!! The terrible "paint" smell in Building 1 B3 parking started last Tues, and since that day my 18month old son broke out in a terrible rash all over his face and body. The doctor has been unable to determine the cause...... and I now realise it's probably caused by bathing in contaminated water!!
Why the hell have the residents not been informed??!! This is making people ill!!

Good evening everyone, absolutely true. The smell of "Paint Thinner" from the water started from yesterday Friday Jan.17th.
On Wednesday there was a very heavy smell of this same "paint thinner" in the B3 parking of Building 1. We informed concierge/security, and the next day the Concierge said that it was from a Contractor doing a Painting Job... Strange... ?
Eventually, about the water, the Concierge said that a Water Tank has been PAINTED, and THAT is why there is smell . . . And Also: TO LEAVE OUR WATER RUNNING TO GET RID OF THE SMELL!!! This is ridicules!
It's strange, when the smallest thing is going on about GM, there is a Formal letter given out, but about this... nothing?!?

Is anybody else in building 2 aware that the water is UNSAFE to drink right now?! I complained to Concierge about my tap water tasting 'paint like' and guess what? Apparently a water tank has recently been painted and there have been other complaints. It is being 'investigated' but apparently it's not safe to drink the water.

Why has nobody alerted the residents?!

I don't know anything about the mosque, first time to hear about it. I will be glad to have a cup of coffee within minutes walking distance - or elevator ride - makes the weekend more pleasant.

this goes for the facilities, i.e., swimming pools ... all tied up in a legal dispute ... it will be a while

Ah I see. Did that come from IFA? I hear they are on the move with the shops finally, as well as the mosque I was lead to believe is being built up by Building one?

The translation is: the shops are in the middle of a legal dispute between IFA and the master developer. It could be few years ....

We were told that Title deeds will be issued in March bu we are in April and no sign of that.. This is an important factor for low prices on Golden Mile properties, the other factor being lack of facilities which are still not in place.

I posted on here last week but nobody from Novus has responded. I'm trying to pay my annual fees but I'm unable to without an IBAN number for your new bank account.

Why isn't this displayed on your invoice? I live in the UK for most of the year, so the only way I can pay is by bank transfer, which requires an IBAN number. As soon as you provide me with this information I will pay my fees. I'm in Golden Mile, Building 1. Thank you.

It is incredible - on the Golden Mile MyCommunity web homepage - the entire top row of 16 icons is total rubbish - not a single one of the facilities exist. I think it is time for an explanation from the Property's Developer!

Can anyone advise on the most economical way to obtain Beach Access for a Golden Mile 1 appartment? The Fairmont are looking for AED50k per year for a family membership although this includes other facilities as well as the beach and I am only looking for Beach. Any advice most welcome.

Can anyone tell us when they will be opening the park and the retail shops, the service charges are so expensive why should we pay them when they dont provide atleast small services such as gym, swimmingpool, playing area as well a supermarket which it is insane if we need a small things we have to go either for shorline building with this small market or to more far away one.

Hope to notice atleast us when these problems going to be solved.

The service charges are extremely expensive here, we are already thinking of quitting this place, the facilities provided here are poor, no pool, no gym, the parking is horrible and the pay for extra parking space is outrageous.
